Woodworker Bob DeWitt and his design partner Dominique Vallon DeWitt have been making handcrafted kitchenware for over thirty years on their secluded western Pennsylvania homestead. Inspired by the surrounding PA hardwoods - cherry, tiger maple, ash, black walnut and apple - the DeWitts make spoons, bowls, chopping blocks, cheese and bread boards, and custom designed furniture for the whole house.
Heartwood grain, natural free form lines, and an intuitive interpretation of the tree’s history is embodied in each uniquely beautiful yet always functional piece. Each piece is carefully finished through an intensive grain raising and polishing process and non-toxic beeswax/oil protection.
Each piece is backed by the DeWitt’s pledge of integrity. Their personal guarantee covers the quality of the wood and carving methods, sanitation concerns and other details and comes with detailed instructions and beeswax for everyday care.
Hand carved and shaped, our kitchenware ranges from gorgeous one piece ladles and serving spoons to butter knives and stir fry paddles. Each piece quickly becomes your go to kitchen tool for cooking and entertaining.
Hand hewn with traditional tools, our bowls are functional heirlooms for everyday use. From salad and dough bowls to tableware collections, each piece is the centerpiece for every meal and gathering.
The natural curves and character of Pennsylvania trees are revealed in each one of our custom tables, benches, kitchen counter tops and our signature coffee tables paired with antique sewing machine bases.
